Avocado production has become a strategic crop in various regions of Spain, driven by domestic demand and export opportunities. This training activity offers an up-to-date and comprehensive overview of the technical, environmental, and economic management of avocados, incorporating innovative practices that optimize productivity, sustainability, and profitability. Led by Jose María Cuadrado Martín and Agustín de Miguel Moreno, the course will cover topics related to varietal selection, soil and water management, plant health, energy efficiency, and strategies for addressing climate change. We wanted to inform you about the organization of this interesting FREE workshop entitled “Innovation and Integrated Management in Avocado Production” , which will be held on Thursday, May 7th , online , from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This workshop is part of a knowledge transfer project promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and offers an updated and comprehensive overview of the technical, environmental, and economic management of avocados, incorporating innovative practices that optimize productivity, sustainability, and profitability. On June 4th, the RIA-CCC network will hold its State Seminar in Madrid, a day aimed at advisors, producers, researchers, technicians from public entities and other key actors in the agri-food system in CCC. The program will include: Presentation of the results of the RIA-CCC project and its relationship with other ongoing projects within the framework of AKIS. Round table with experts from different fields —public and private consulting, the productive sector and research— on innovation and good practices in CCC. Participatory workshop on challenges and opportunities in the implementation of the CCC. Working group for the identification of collaborative initiatives and the development of an action plan to strengthen the state advisory network in CCC. The University of Salamanca will organize the II International AGRIENVIRONMENT Symposium (IAS 2026) on July 23 and 24, 2026 , an international scientific meeting that will bring together experts, researchers and professionals from the agro-environmental field in the city of Salamanca .
